Summary of Job Responsibilities

  • Create a positive, energetic, and respectful work environment within the department.

  • Provide temporary management support to prevent department disruptions.

  • Manage and service sales, catering, and convention services responsibilities to achieve client satisfaction and hotel revenue goals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, prospects, and internal stakeholders to drive business success.
  • Assimilate and organize information quickly to execute proactive sales, catering, and event management functions.
  • Cook up and manage group and event details from initial booking through program departure, ensuring a seamless guest experience.
  • Conduct client meetings, site tours, planning sessions, and pre-convention meetings as needed to confirm expectations and operational requirements.
  • Partner closely with Sales, Catering, Convention Services, Banquets, Front Office, Housekeeping, Engineering, and AV teams to ensure successful program execution.
  • Monitor group and event activity, proactively address client needs, and resolve service issues in real-time.
  • Support revenue generation, customer retention, and operational excellence while maintaining brand standards.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in one or more of the following systems: STS, Envision, CI/TY, Delphi FDC, or similar hotel sales and event management platforms.
  • A minimum of 5 years of RECENT successful hotel Sales, Catering, and/or Convention Services Management experience.
  • Creative and innovative problem solver.
  • Strong management skills and a proactive approach to supporting hotel needs.
  • Ability to adapt quickly and perform under high expectations.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and embrace ongoing change.
  • Excellent communication, organization, time management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be an ambitious self-starter with a desire to learn.
