Tarp Manufacturing (Industrial Sewer)

Duties And Responsibilities

• Process parts.
• Operate industrial sewing machine, grommet machine, miller roller welder, kabar welder and floor welder.
• Read a tape measure, use hand tools and semi-automatic manufacturing equipment.
• Must be able to read manufacturing prints.
• Read and understand work orders and work instructions.
• Routine daily cleaning and equipment maintenance.
• Confirm quality of product.
• Prepare product for shipment including packing and labeling products.
• Maintain product workspace.
• Able to cross train in other areas and departments.
• Follows all safety guidelines and wears proper personal protective equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
• Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using fractions.
• Reasoning ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.

• Regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts.
• Occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and risk of electrical shock.
• Noise level in the work environment is occasionally loud.
• A minimum level of physical dexterity is required.

• Occasionally required to stand; walk; stoop, kneel, crouch, bend or twist.
