About the role
As a Senior Targeting Analyst, you will conduct GEOINT analysis and target development in support of Joint Targeting operations and intelligence missions. You will provide advanced advisory skills to deliver creative solutions to complex problems, using geospatial analysis, research, critical thinking, and intelligence analysis expertise. Your work will uncover patterns, assess complex intelligence problems, and provide actionable intelligence to support mission objectives.
You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team using advanced GEOINT tools and geospatial technologies to develop and refine target intelligence products. Your role includes supporting the planning and execution of Joint Targeting, intelligence collection, and target development operations, as well as relaying findings to operational planners and decision-makers.
Responsibilities
- Develop intelligence products using advanced GEOINT methodologies, photogrammetric analysis, target development standards, and geospatial analytic techniques.
- Support the planning and execution of Joint Targeting, intelligence collection, and target development operations.
- Conduct critical, information-based research and analysis to relay findings to operational planners and decision-makers.
- Serve as a trusted advisor, sharing knowledge and findings through technical collaboration, target development expertise, GEOINT tradecraft, and mentoring fellow analysts.
- Collect, analyze, and deliver geospatial intelligence to support critical defense and intelligence missions.
Requirements
- 15+ years of experience in Intelligence Analysis with a focus on remote sensing, geospatial analysis, or all-source analysis.
- 5+ years of experience supporting the Joint Targeting Cycle.
- Experience with the Intelligence Cycle, Collection Management Cycle, Targeting Cycle, and Intelligence support to the Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP).
- Experience using GEOINT software such as RemoteView, SOCET GXP, DIEE, or ArcGIS.
- Experience applying photogrammetric principles and techniques.
- Experience executing or supporting target development in accordance with JP 3-60 and CJCSI 3370.01D.
- Experience conducting basic, intermediate, and advanced target development.
- Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam.
Qualifications
- HS Diploma or GED and 20+ years of experience in Intelligence Analysis, or
- Bachelor’s Degree in Remote Sensing, Cartography, or Geography and 15+ years of experience in Intelligence Analysis, or
- Master’s Degree in Remote Sensing, Cartography, or Geography and 10+ years of experience in Intelligence Analysis.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with commercial visualization software.
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience presenting intelligence findings at community forums, symposiums, or technical briefings.
- Expert research and technical writing skills.
- TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.
- Completion of Army (or service equivalent) 35G/350G, 12Y/125D, or 35F/350F military occupational specialty training.
- GPC-II Imagery Certification.
Pay
The projected compensation range for this position is $62.50 to $69.72 per hour.
