Taproom Bartender (Part-Time, On-Call)

About the role

The Taproom Bartender represents Paskenta Mad River Brewing LLC to all customers. They provide excellent service and uphold the company’s policies and values through each transaction.

Responsibilities

• Provides constant, attentive, and friendly service to patrons
• Obtains orders from patrons
• Operates a Point-of-Sale (POS) system, collects cash, makes change, and processes credit card transactions
• Monitors consumption of alcohol served to patrons
• Keeps the bar clean, stocked, and organized
• Learns about brewery beers to relay to patrons
• Cleans and maintains the beer garden, porch areas, back bar, seating area, and restrooms
• Cleans equipment, furniture, and fixtures
• Busses tables
• Maintains confidential daily record keeping of tips
• Upholds standards set by the Alcohol Beverage Control Board of California
• Follows directions and works independently
• Opens and/or closes the facility, ensuring the building is secure
• Sets up and cleans up prior to opening and at the end of a shift
• Ensures safe food and beverage handling
• Builds relationships with food vendors and bands
• Enforces Taproom policies
• Maintains a hospitable and team atmosphere with fellow staff
• Documents incidents
• Relays complaints, problems, or positive remarks to management
• Follows established company and departmental standards for personal appearance and behavior
• Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Previous customer service experience is required
• Responsible Beverage Server Training required upon hire
• Serve Safe Certificate preferred but can be obtained upon hire
• Willing to obtain a food handlers certificate
• Familiarity with POS and office software
• Minimum of 21 years of age
• Pre-employment drug testing and Department of Justice fingerprinting clearance through Federal, State, and Child Abuse Index required

• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
