Depot Connect International (DCI), a global leader in the Tank/ISO Tank Container Services and Tank Trailer Parts industry, is searching for DOT inspector mechanics with 3+ years of tank trailer repair experience. Responsibilities
- Diagnose failures and make repairs on mechanical, electrical or other various systems on a tank trailer
- Tank service and repair, including Betts valves and gaskets
- Trailer suspension installation and repair
- Work with air brake systems and perform repairs
- Use handheld diagnostic tools, tablets, and basic tech skills
- Perform MIG & TIG welding on aluminum and stainless steel
- Effectively and efficiently inspect tanks and trailers to align with DOT standards (HM183, hazmat)
Requirements
- 3+ years of tank trailer repair experience
- Demonstrated skill in most of the following areas: diagnosing failures on mechanical, electrical, or other systems; tank service and repair (Betts valves, gaskets); trailer suspension installation and repair; air brake systems; handheld diagnostic tools; MIG & TIG aluminum and stainless steel; DOT inspections (HM183, hazmat)
Physical Demands
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- With assistance, occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
- Must be able to fit through a 16" tank trailer manhole
- Must be able to work in confined spaces
Pay
$22.00 to $36.00 per hour, dependent on experience. Skill-based pay rate reviews and potential increases every 6 months.
Schedule
Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM
