Tank Trailer Mechanic

About the role
We are currently searching for DOT registered inspector mechanics with 3+ years of tank trailer repair experience.

Responsibilities
- Diagnose failures and make repairs on mechanical, electrical, or other various systems on a tank trailer
- Tank service and repair, including Betts valves and gaskets
- Trailer suspension installation and repair
- Experience with air brake systems and repairs
- Use handheld diagnostic tools and tablets
- TIG aluminum, stainless, or carbon welding
- Inspect tanks and trailers to align with DOT standards (HM183, hazmat)
Requirements
- 3+ years of tank trailer repair experience
- DOT registered inspector mechanic
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- With assistance, occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
- Must be able to fit through a tank trailer manhole
- Must be able to work in confined spaces
- Basic tech skills
Pay
$22.00 to $36.00 per hour, dependent on experience. Skill-based pay rate reviews and potential increases every 6 months.
Schedule
Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
