Tank Trailer Mechanic

Headquartered in Tampa, Florida, DCI operates over 160 locations worldwide with a team of over 3,500 employees delivering mission‑critical services. This Trailer Mechanic position is based at the Billings, MT branch (1635 North Frontage Road).

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.

Pay

$21.00 to $38.00 per hour, based on experience, with skill‑based pay reviews and potential increases every six months.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose failures and make repairs on mechanical, electrical, or other systems on tank trailers.
• Perform tank service and repair.
• Install and repair trailer suspensions.
• Work with air‑brake systems and perform repairs.
• Conduct TIG aluminum, stainless, or carbon welding (optional).
• Inspect tanks and trailers to ensure compliance with DOT standards (HM183, hazmat).

Requirements

• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds regularly; with assistance, occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to fit through a tank trailer manhole.
• Ability to work in confined spaces.
