Description
- Prepare resin, hardeners, and additives according to detailed work instruction, ensuring correct ratios and mixing times.
- Operate, monitor, and maintain resin storage and mixing tanks.
- Perform visual inspections of tanks, mixers, and associated equipment to ensure proper operation.
- Conduct quality checks on resin batches and record test results.
- Safely handle, label, and store chemicals in compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of tank levels and coordinate with production to prevent downtime.
- Clean and maintain tanks, mixers, and work areas per established procedures.
- Complete required batch records, production logs, and material usage documentation.
- Report equipment malfunctions, quality concerns, or safety hazards to the team lead, supervisor, or manager immediately.
- Adhere to all PPE, lockout/tagout (LOTO), and chemical handling procedures.
- Monitor and achieve established Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as production output, quality standards, efficiency, and safety compliance, ensuring continuous improvement and alignment with company goals.
- Keep work area clean and organized to prevent safety hazards.
Requirements
- Educational background: High school diploma or equivalent (GED or HSE).
- Technical training in chemical handling or resin processing preferred.
- Experience: 1+ years of experience in manufacturing or chemical handling preferred.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with ISO 9001 or other quality management systems.
- Skills: Understanding of safe chemical handling, mixing procedures, and environmental compliance. Proficiency in reading and following technical instructions, shop routers, and safety data sheets (SDS).
- Physical abilities: Good mechanical aptitude and strong attention to detail. Ability to follow precise mixing and measuring procedures. Frequently required to sit, stand, stoop, climb, walk, use hands, talk, and hear for a minimum of eight (8) hours per shift.
