Tank Mechanic

About the role

Working on ISO Tank Containers by pressure testing tanks, draining and drying the inside of the tank. Repair and replace tank container valves, gaskets, and gauges.

Responsibilities

• Pressure test, repair, and replace valves, gaskets, and gauges
• Drain tank and ensure tank is dry
• Operate hoists, cranes, and precision measuring and testing instruments
• Observe and listen to mechanical devices to diagnose causes of mechanical issues
• Repair and replace defective parts, inspect and adjust used parts
• Lubricate and clean parts
• Operate lathe, drill press, and grinders
• Use hand tools and power tools

Requirements

• Candidates will possess a mechanical background
• Possess good communication skills (verbal and written)
• Detailed oriented
• Ability to wear a respirator and be comfortable with heights on top of tanks
• Work in enclosed spaces inside of tanks
