Responsibilities

  • Electrical Systems:
    • Perform Preventive Maintenance (PMs) no later than the 25th of the month or as scheduled.
    • Record results accurately on PM card and forward to the Engineering Office.
    • Makes immediate repairs on essential equipment; follow-up on Work Orders generated from PM failures.
    • Troubleshoot electrical problems using appropriate equipment and techniques.
    • Respond promptly to urgent requests and prioritize Work Orders.
  • Plumbing Systems:
    • Perform PMs no later than the 25th of the month or as scheduled.
    • Record results accurately on PM card and forward to the Engineering Office.
    • Follow-up on Work Orders generated from PM failures.
    • Install, repair, and replace pipes, fittings, and plumbing fixtures.
    • Respond promptly to urgent requests and prioritize Work Orders.
  • Refrigeration Systems:
    • Perform PMs no later than the 25th of the month or as scheduled.
    • Record results accurately on PM card and forward to the Engineering Office.
    • Follow-up on Work Orders generated from PM failures.
    • Install and repair refrigeration equipment.
    • Respond promptly to urgent requests and prioritize Work Orders.
  • Utility Systems:
    • Perform PMs no later than the 25th of the month or as scheduled.
    • Record results accurately on PM card and forward to the Engineering Office.
    • Follow-up on Work Orders generated from PM failures.
    • Respond promptly to urgent requests and prioritize Work Orders.
  • Maintains facility improvements and aesthetics.
  • Applies paint, varnish, or stains neatly as requested or required.
  • Completes special projects timely and efficiently.
  • General Equipment Repairs:
    • Respond promptly to urgent requests and prioritize Work Orders.
    • Seek assistance and/or learning experience to increase knowledge base/productivity.
    • Report potential problem areas to appropriate personnel.
  • Other Essential Functions:
    • Performs other duties as assigned or requested.

Requirements

  • Vocational training in industrial maintenance or related fields preferred.
  • Experience in hospital or industrial maintenance preferred.

  • Clearance of near normal hearing – able to hear alarms/telephone/normal speaking voice/webinars.
  • Clearance of near normal vision – clarity of vision (both near and far) either corrected on non-corrected, ability to distinguish colors.
  • Good manual dexterity and eye-hand-foot coordination.
  • Standing – continuously within the shift (67-100%).
  • Walking – continuously within the shift (67-100%).
  • Climbing – occasionally within the shift (1-33%).
  • Bending/stooping – frequently within the shift (34-66%).
  • Twist at the waist – occasionally with the shift (1-33%).
  • Pushing/pulling 50+lbs without assistance – frequently within the shift (1-33%).
  • Pushing/pulling 100+lbs with assistance – frequently within the shift (1-33%).
  • Lift/carry – 20+lbs without assistance – occasionally within the shift (1-33%).
  • Reaching above the shoulders – frequently within the shift (34-67%).
  • Lift/carry – 50+lbs with assistance – occasionally within the shift (1-33%).
  • Wet hazards (34-66%).
  • Electrical hazards – frequently within the shift (0-33%).
