About the Role
This position leads strategy execution and manages multiple workstreams by identifying client and operational needs. Responsibilities include driving the implementation of enterprise-wide talent management solutions, such as strategic talent planning models, tools, methodologies, and resources related to talent management disciplines (e.g., talent planning, organizational effectiveness/development, leadership development, and organizational change management). The role collaborates with internal and external stakeholders, ensures alignment with organizational strategies, and leads cross-disciplinary teams to address talent management issues. Additionally, this position partners with leadership teams to influence the development and execution of functional and KP-wide policies and long-term goals.
The role maintains a comprehensive understanding of current talent management policies and trends, drives innovative strategies, serves as a lead expert to stakeholders and KP National leadership, and fosters an enterprise-wide community of practice to embed consistent, strategic solutions across regions and national functions.
Responsibilities
- Practices self-leadership and promotes learning in others by soliciting and acting on performance feedback, building collaborative relationships, communicating information to drive projects forward, adapting to competing demands, providing feedback (including upward feedback), influencing and mentoring team members, fostering open dialogue, and evaluating strengths and weaknesses of self and unit members.
- Drives the execution of multiple workstreams by identifying customer and operational needs, developing and updating procedures and policies, gaining cross-functional support, translating business strategy into actionable requirements, obtaining and distributing resources, setting standards, removing obstacles, guiding performance, developing contingency plans, and solving highly complex issues.
- Delivers strategic direction for the business by staying abreast of internal and external perspectives, data trends, HR laws, and best practices; engaging with HR and business stakeholders; managing complex projects/programs; conducting data analysis; creating and facilitating presentations; and maintaining performance against SLAs and key performance indicators.
- Designs, develops, and executes HR practices, programs, and initiatives by implementing tools, systems, and programs; ensuring coordinated execution and buy-in; identifying and addressing gaps; deploying contingency plans; monitoring performance; and recommending modifications to strategies.
- Leads talent strategy and program management, manages employer brand and employee advocacy initiatives, translates market intelligence into workforce strategies, and develops innovative talent attraction capabilities.
- Partners with key stakeholders to advance talent strategies.
Requirements
- Minimum eight (8) years of experience managing talent management processes (e.g., talent acquisition, performance evaluations, organizational development, succession planning).
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in a leadership role with or without direct reports.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Social Science, Public Administration, or a related field or minimum ten (10) years of equivalent work experience in human resources, business operations, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Three (3) years of experience developing talent strategies, programs, policies, and/or initiatives.
- Four (4) years of work experience requiring data analysis and reporting.

Pay
The posted pay range is $178,200 - $230,560 per year. Actual base pay determined at offer will be based on labor market data, internal alignment, and a candidate's years of relevant work experience, education, certifications, skills, and geographic location.
Schedule
- Full-time (40 hours per week).
- Shift: Day (Monday through Friday, 08:00 AM - 05:00 PM).
- Travel: Yes, 10% of the time.
- Work Setting: Flexible (worker location must align with Kaiser Permanente's Authorized States policy).
