About the role

The Talent Acquisition Specialist will support the Renewables market sector (solar, wind, battery storage) by working closely with company leaders to anticipate and address the evolving workforce needs. They will recruit top talent for both current and upcoming opportunities, focusing on agile recruitment approaches and managing the full life cycle of recruiting processes.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with hiring managers and prospective talent to develop relationships as a true Talent Acquisition Business Partner.
  • Guide and coach managers to ensure job requirements and expectations are clearly understood and applicants are assessed against appropriate criteria, and to maximize effectiveness of the recruiting process.
  • Evaluate hiring and interview processes and techniques, system improvements, and identify training opportunities where applicable.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand their business and recruitment needs, including long-term talent pipeline needs, and fill their open positions in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for full life cycle recruiting process for identified roles across the organization for exempt and non-exempt positions.
  • Ensure hiring plans provide equal opportunities to all candidates (internal and external).
  • Manage candidates through the entire interview and hiring process, from assessing candidate qualifications to negotiating offers and managing pre-employment requirements and onboarding.
  • Develop recruitment strategies to include internet job boards, networking, resume mining, social networking, campaigns, internal transfers, and other channels to attract a diverse pool of candidates utilizing the most cost-effective methods and techniques to meet staffing levels.
  • Accept actively participate in all staffing-related activities and engage in cross-functional projects.
  • Aid in meeting affirmative action, equal opportunity, and diversity recruitment goals.

Qualifications

  • Talent Specialist I: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, minimum 1-3 years’ experience, construction industry experience preferred.
  • Talent Specialist II: Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience, construction, energy, or blue collar related recruiting experience preferred, Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Skills and Abilities

  • Exceptional prioritization and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Intermediate sourcing, interviewing, and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with a penchant towards metrics.
  • Decisive ability to shift priorities and function effectively in a dynamic fast-paced work culture.
  • Ability to interact and build strong relationships with multiple levels of management.
  • Effectively communicate to multiple levels of the organization and internal HR team.
