JOB SUMMARY

The Talent Specialist (TS) works to successfully recruit teammates to join Indium Corporation. By utilizing & maintaining the on-line recruitment system, the TS is able to successfully screen applicants. Additionally, the TS will assist Supervisor to successfully build pipelines of talent including recruitment of exempt & non-exempt candidates as well as internal & external applicants to Indium Corporation.

About the role

The TS is expected to establish and maintain positive relationships with external agencies and recruiting sources; implement best practices around recruitment and retention, and will be responsible to train others on those practices regularly, to ensure that Indium Corporation upholds its commitment to hiring a talented and diverse workforce. Also through those best practices, the TS will work with each plant to maintain equitable hiring practices.

Responsibilities

  • Works collaboratively with hiring managers in the development of recruitment strategies.
  • Ensures staffing processes are based on best practices, equitable, are in alignment with current and future workforce needs, and are consistent with affirmative action placement goals.
  • Supports company diversity and inclusion initiatives through leadership of hiring programs designed to recruit and retain a diverse workforce.
  • Promotes and helps coordinate special employment programs through outside agencies (Internship program, school groups, apprenticeship program, veterans or other disaffected groups).
  • Responds to ongoing specific and general inquiries regarding employment opportunities as well as work to resolve any applicant concerns or issues.
  • Affords assistance to the Supervisor in setting departmental strategic goals by working collaboratively on initiatives to improve hiring processes and outcomes.
  • Engages candidate pools through numerous social networking groups such as LinkedIn, &Twitter.
  • Establishes and maintains contact with a variety of potential applicant resources including search firms, governmental agencies, employment placement centers, trade schools, and related organizations; continually looks for new opportunities for networking and assesses the effectiveness of social media options.
  • Maintains compliance with pertinent federal and state laws and legislation as applicable to the recruitment/hiring process.
  • Assists and coordinates job fairs for special recruitments needs.
  • Congruently manages the hiring process from requisition to payroll entry to ensure all paperwork is adequately completed and new hire has optimal entry into the company.
  • Trains fellow employees on Indium Corporation recruitment best practices and guidelines.
  • Acts as brand and culture ambassador internally and externally.
  • Includes building and maintaining professional collaborative relationships with external partners.
  • Schedules, tracks, and reports events and operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree is required.
  • PHR, SHRM CP preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year related recruitment or HR process experience required.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in team setting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft excel.
  • Ability to perform under pressure with accuracy and timeliness.

Qualifications

  • Wage Disclosure: The salary range indicated in this posting represents the minimum and maximum of the range for the position. The actual range will vary based upon factors including, but not limited to, prior experience, knowledge, skill and education as they relate to the position’s qualifications, and internal equity.
  • The posted salary range reflects just one component of our total rewards package. Other components include health, dental, and vision insurance, PTO, retirement plan, volunteer opportunities, paid holidays, overtime opportunities, and many more.
  • $23.00 per hour - $30.00 per hour ($47,500 - $62,000 annually)
