Responsibilities
- Build talent pipelines for some of the most technically demanding roles on earth.
- Partner closely with recruiters and hiring managers across Engineering, Manufacturing, and Operations to identify and engage exceptional talent who want to help make life multiplanetary.
- Represent the company with professionalism, pride, and enthusiasm.
- Work in teams and focus on collaboration, yet require a high degree of autonomy.
- Proactively source passive candidates via X, LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search, GitHub, niche technical forums, and other channels.
- Build and maintain strong talent pipelines for hard-to-fill engineering roles.
- Leverage AI-powered sourcing and research tools to increase pipeline speed and quality while maintaining a personal touch.
- Partner with recruiters and hiring managers to understand role requirements and refine sourcing strategy.
- Conduct initial candidate outreach and phone screens to assess interest and qualifications.
- Track sourcing metrics and pipeline health and share relevant data points with recruiters and hiring teams.
- Represent SpaceX’s mission and culture compellingly to prospective candidates.
- Stay current on market trends, competitor talent pools, and compensation benchmarks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and 1+ years of recruiting experience; or associate degree and 2+ years of experience; or 3+ years of professional experience as a recruiter in lieu of a degree.
- 1+ years of technical recruiting experience.
- Experience sourcing for engineering, hardware, or technical manufacturing roles.
- Strong Boolean/X-ray search skills.
- Ability to build strong relationships with both hiring managers and candidates.
- Familiarity with ATS platforms and sourcing tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- The ability to distinguish between the top 50% and the top 5% of talent within their respective fields.
- A high tolerance for ambiguity and a bias toward action.
Requirements
- To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C.1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C.1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
