About the role

The Talent Sourcer is responsible for US-based passive candidate identification and outreach for RPO and Retained Search engagements where sourcing passive talent is part of the scope. This role conducts structured phone and video screens for RPO with Phone Screens and Retained Search roles, reports directly to the Practice Leader, and coordinates day-to-day with the India-based Sourcing and Operations Manager on active engagements.

Responsibilities

  • Build targeted sourcing lists for RPO and Retained Search engagements using LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search, and network mapping
  • Identify and source qualified talent for US-based roles across Technology, Sales, Finance, Operations, and HR functions, ranging from individual contributor to Director-level positions
  • Research target companies and prospective candidates’ career history to identify potential job-fits and support outreach efforts for active recruiting engagements
  • Develop, tailor, and execute personalized outreach messages to potential prospects on LinkedIn and via email, leveraging approved templates to maximize candidate engagement and response rates
  • Manage candidate communication; provide timely responses, clear next-step coordination, as well as disposition emails, maintaining professionalism and a welcoming demeanor throughout
  • Conduct initial discovery conversations with interested candidates to assess general alignment before screening
  • Conduct 20 to 30-minute structured phone or video screens with US-based candidates on RPO with Phone Screens and Retained Search engagements
  • Maintain records of complete standardized documentation for every screened candidate, following established procedures and evaluation criteria
  • Maintain accurate and timely records in the relevant ATS including outreach activity, screening outcomes, interview progression, and disposition reasons on every candidate contacted
  • Provide a weekly sourcing update to the Practice Leader covering pipeline status, active prospects, screens completed, and any blockers
  • Cook up with the Sourcing and Operations Manager on candidate handoffs, ownership of follow-up, and distinction between inbound applicant and outbound prospects

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of sourcing or talent acquisition experience across a range of role levels
  • Demonstrated experience writing outreach messaging that generates responses from professionals who were not actively looking
  • Experience conducting structured phone or video screens and documenting results for client or stakeholder review
  • Working experience sourcing passive candidates using LinkedIn Recruiter and Boolean search
  • Experience with US hiring markets and candidate expectations across functions
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • Computer Program/Resource Requirements: LinkedIn Recruiter or equivalent passive sourcing tool, ATS platform proficiency (ExactHire preferred), Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook, Microsoft Teams for scheduling and communication

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a recruiting agency, RPO, or multi-client environment
  • Familiarity with ExactHire, Greenhouse, Lever, or similar ATS platforms
  • Experience sourcing across Technology, Sales, and Finance functions
  • SHRM-CP, PHR, or equivalent HR or talent acquisition certification
