Talent Manager, Retail
About the role
The Talent Manager, Retail is responsible for leading full-cycle recruitment efforts across the HUGO BOSS Retail business in the United States and Canada. This role partners closely with retail leadership to attract, assess, and hire top talent that supports business objectives and drives organizational success.
Responsibilities
- Partner with business leaders to proactively identify target candidate profiles and align recruitment strategies with evolving business needs to attract top talent.
- Collaborate with HR Business Partners on the end-to-end recruitment process for the U.S. and Canada retail population, including interviews and the facilitation of hiring qualified applicants; work closely with Retail Management to define required skills and competencies for open roles.
- Create and manage job postings and recruitment campaigns across applicant tracking systems, social media, professional networks, job boards, talent communities, and other strategic sourcing channels to attract top talent.
- Guide Talent Assistant to ensure effective support and timely completion of all talent-related administrative responsibilities.
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, extending offers, coordinating background checks, and overseeing new hire documentation.
- Support the administration of appropriate assessments and reference/background checking and extend offer of employment and create/deliver employment offer letters.
- Uses traditional and nontraditional resources, such as career fairs, online job fairs, community network events, etc., to identify and attract quality candidates.
- Support the recruitment efforts for short-term and long-term temporary needs.
- Manages internal transfer processes, including screening, coordination of interviews with hiring manager, etc.
- Follows up with candidates and hiring managers to obtain feedback regarding recruiting process.
- Develops and maintains an excellent relationship with internal and external clients to ensure achievement of staffing goals.
- Manages the Open Jobs Report and Global Reporting.
- Manages agency relationships ensuring that the best interests of the company are always in mind.
- Remains updated on all local and state legislative changes relating to employment screening and job offering.
- Owns and manages reporting metrics such as time to fill, sourcing channel, retention rate, cost of hire, and reports on a recurring frequency.
- Optimizes sourcing and interviewing strategies to improve recruiting metrics and drive business impact (e.g., response rates, screen volume, conversion rates, time to fill, hire rate, hires, candidate and manager NPS, cost per hire, retention).
- Drives continuous improvement initiatives across the team in the areas of learning & development, team culture, recruiting processes, cross-functional collaboration, and data analysis.
Requirements
- BA, preferably in Human Resources.
- 5 years of professional retail recruiting required.
- Knowledge of SAP and Recruitment systems.
- High volume recruitment experience required.
- Fashion Retail Industry recruitment knowledge is necessary.
- Proficiency with Microsoft applications (particularly Excel), SuccessFactors and Phenom.
- Must be able to work independently and take initiative, hands-on.
- Detail oriented and organized.
- Strong written & verbal communication skills as well as project management skills.
- Able to multitask and work under deadlines.
- Excellent communication, building relationships and business acumen skills.
- Some travel required.

Pay
The expected base salary range for this position is from $110,000 - $120,000. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered.

This position is based in New York City, New York, and supports recruitment activities across the United States and Canada.
