Our team designs innovative talent strategies and development experiences that strengthen leadership capability, build executive bench strength, and prepare leaders to deliver exceptional care for the patients and communities we serve.
As a Senior Talent Management Consultant, you'll serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders and HR Partners while leading the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of Banner's executive development strategy and programs. You'll own Executive Leader Orientation, design and facilitate executive learning experiences, consult on individual development plans for executive successors and high-potential leaders, and provide executive coaching to help leaders reach their full potential.
This role is ideal for someone who combines strategic thinking with exceptional execution, enjoys influencing senior leaders, and thrives in a driven environment where their work has a lasting impact across the organization. Prior experience in people leadership and working with executives is highly preferred.
Must live close enough to commute into our Phoenix Metro area facilities, including our Corporate office.
Responsibilities
- Adopt a proactive approach to lead through ambiguity and identify and analyze risk to Talent Management priorities.
- Provide leadership with external research, benchmarking, business analysis, and evidence-based best practices to solve unique and complex business problems and elevate the end-user experience of programs.
- Utilize data-driven insights to measure the effectiveness of talent management programs and make data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Align operations to strategy and effectively determine and maintain processes and procedures that ensure successful outcomes.
- Continuously optimize standard operating procedures, looking for continuous improvement opportunities for program growth, automation, or efficiencies.
- Create and manage project lifecycle with key milestones to ensure deadlines are met, potential roadblocks and risks are anticipated, escalated, and solved for.
- Prioritize tasks across multiple projects, facilitate alignment, consider downstream impact, leverage functional expertise, and drive timely execution of deliverables.
- Maintain statistics and reports on activity in areas of responsibility and effectively provide status reports and action items to leadership and key stakeholders.
- Review, prepare, analyze, and present reports and recommendations on operations, programs, services, and other relevant areas to provide accurate and concise information that influences decision-making.
- Comprehensively scope out project and change management approach and sequence in conjunction with larger, multiple Talent Management project plans to effectively plan and influence the organization's timelines, resources, and impact.
- Implement plans and change with defined scope, business need, and appropriate buy-in from stakeholders.
- Conduct post-project/program evaluations in partnership with leadership, including capturing relevant, timely feedback and incorporating successes and areas for improvement into future iterations of the programs.
- Convey strong executive presence and leverage facilitation and presentation skills to effectively lead workshops, training sessions, and executive briefings.
- Develop and implement a communication plan for holistic program(s) implementation, providing reliable and concise information.
- Adapt presentation and facilitation approaches to address audience dynamics, ensuring participants connect with translated content effectively.
- Build rapport with team members at various position levels and create a psychologically safe learning environment, fostering open communication and promoting active participation among participants.
- Lead and collaborate with peers and senior leadership across Banner Health.
- Participate and may lead task forces to plan, implement, and coordinate facility activities to maximize talent strategies, service quality, effectiveness, and efficiency.
- Serve as knowledge, quality, and process subject matter expert.
- Lead the design and implementation of talent management solutions and programs to enhance team member development and growth that aligns with organizational goals.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to team members in the areas of talent management, talent development, change management, communication, evidence-based research, data analysis, and implementation of programs and services.
Requirements
- Proven experience designing, developing, implementing, and delivering comprehensive talent management programs and/or supporting organizational effectiveness efforts, typically demonstrated with a bachelor's degree and seven years of progressively increasing responsibility.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of talent development, talent planning, or workforce pathing.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills to effectively establish and maintain successful relationships with all partners/stakeholders and influence effectively.
- Exceptional project management, organizational, and prioritization skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Analytical abilities to interpret data, assess trends, and make recommendations.
- Strong personal computer skills, including extensive experience with office desktop applications.
Qualifications
- Eight years of experience in learning and development, adult learning principles, coaching, leadership development models, facilitation skills, talent planning, and workforce pathing (preferred).
- Certification in coaching, learning, or talent development (preferred).
- Experience in people leadership (preferred).
