Talent Engineer
About the role
Ambrook helps American family-run businesses become more profitable and resilient. From volatile markets to climate shifts, independent operators face mounting pressure. We’re rebuilding the financial infrastructure that independent operators rely on by replacing paperwork with modern tools for accounting, banking, and spending. This role is about building the systems that automate sourcing, follow-ups, tracking, and reporting—freeing up time for meaningful conversations and decision-making in recruiting.
You’ll work with our founding recruiter to build automations, agents, and systems that eliminate the grind of hiring, using tools like Claude, Zapier, Ashby, and GitHub.
Responsibilities
- Build systems that run autonomously, designing loops for sourcing, outreach, and follow-ups that improve over time.
- Manufacture serendipity by automating enrichment and prep, ensuring recruiters walk into conversations informed and focused on the right candidates.
- Create reporting loops that monitor the pipeline and flag issues in real time, preventing problems before they escalate.
- Develop a network cultivation system that engages talent at the right moments, turning luck into timely opportunities.
Qualifications
- You build with AI, not just use it—you’ve automated part of a sourcing or coordination workflow and can articulate the impact.
- You think in systems, preferring to build repeatable processes over one-off tasks.
- You maintain a "clean kitchen"—bad data or broken pipelines bother you, and you fix them proactively.
- You can discuss technical work credibly with engineers, understanding what they do and why it matters.
- You’re comfortable building while the function evolves, adapting as needs change.
- Familiarity with LinkedIn and tools like Juicebox, Metaview, Pin, or Gem is a plus, along with sourcing experience in fintech, GTM, or early-stage startups.
About You
We’re looking for a builder with strong judgment about people. Ideal candidates may come from recruiting, talent operations, or engineering backgrounds—what matters is your ability to build and your commitment to improving the human side of recruiting.
