Talent Development Trainer – Administrative Services

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Lead the onboarding experience for newly hired administrative assistants, collaborating with department teams to design and deliver impactful training programs focused on delivering excellence
  • Support administrative assistants in mastering required applications, providing follow-up guidance and resources
  • Coordinate and/or facilitate engaging in-person and virtual training sessions for administrative assistants at various levels
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize the department’s intranet and wiki for accessible knowledge sharing
  • Measure training effectiveness and implement improvements to drive continuous learning
  • Crosstrain Legal Service Team admins on partner-assignment driven applications and processes
  • Develop and manage a mentorship program in partnership with assistants to ensure comprehensive support and guidance
  • Launch and monitor pilot groups for new processes or application enhancements alongside technology and knowledge management teams
  • Reinforce critical professional and interpersonal skills through targeted resources and coaching to strengthen team performance on delivering excellent client service
  • Collaborate with managers to identify training needs and recommend targeted development programs; provide ongoing feedback to managers

Qualifications/Position Requirements

  • Highly motivated, responsive and conscientious, with a commitment to delivering excellent client service
  • Proficiency in law firm platforms, with a strong understanding of industry best practices
  • Proficiency in technical tools, including but not limited to Microsoft Office, expense and billing applications, telephone and virtual conference systems and client relationship management (CRM) systems
  • Demonstrates a client-service mindset, with the ability to prioritize responsiveness, take initiative, and maintain a consistently professional environment
  • Ability to work confidently and collaboratively with individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to maintain professional composure in high-pressure situations and a fast-paced, multi-authority environment
  • Superior organizational and project management skills
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to travel to other offices to provide on-site training and support to local administrative directors and managers as needed
  • Flexible and accommodating to meet evolving needs of the firm

Education And/or Experience

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
  • Strong proficiency in learning tools, digital resources and training platforms highly preferred

Compensation

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $130,000 - $150,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, anticipated assignment, and, where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. Davis Polk offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.
