Responsibilities
- Champion SSB&T’s Core Values: Model SSB&T’s core values, embedding them into data strategy, governance, and team culture.
- Talent Acquisition & Recruiting:
- Coordinate full-cycle recruiting activities, including job postings, candidate sourcing, interview scheduling, candidate communications, and hiring support.
- Utilize LinkedIn Recruiter and other sourcing tools to identify, engage, and cultivate relationships with prospective candidates.
- Conduct proactive outreach, networking, and direct recruitment efforts to build talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs.
- Partner with hiring managers and the People & Strategy Office to execute approved recruiting and hiring plans.
- Manage candidate pipelines, applicant tracking activities, and recruiting workflows.
- Coordinate interviews and facilitate a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
- Assist with preparing employment offers and coordinating pre-employment screenings.
- Participate in recruiting events, career fairs, internship programs, school partnerships, and community outreach initiatives.
- Promote SSB&T's employment brand, mission, values, and culture to prospective candidates.
- Maintain recruiting metrics and provide hiring activity reports as requested.
- Onboarding & New Hire Experience:
- Coordinate onboarding activities for all new employees.
- Facilitate new hire orientation programs and onboarding experiences.
- Ensure completion of required employment documentation and onboarding requirements.
- Coordinate onboarding schedules and resources with managers and internal departments.
- Support new employees through their transition into the organization and help ensure a positive onboarding experience.
- Conduct follow-up touchpoints with new employees at established milestones to support integration, engagement, and retention.
- Identify and recommend improvements to onboarding processes and programs.
- Employee Engagement & Culture:
- Coordinate employee engagement programs and culture-building initiatives.
- Administer employee recognition programs, including birthdays, anniversaries, service milestones, employee appreciation efforts, and other recognition activities.
- Assist with planning and execution of employee events, celebrations, volunteer opportunities, wellness activities, and team-building initiatives.
- Support employee surveys, feedback initiatives, and engagement programs.
- Assist with employee communications related to engagement, recognition, culture, and organizational initiatives.
- Support programs that reinforce SSB&T's mission, vision, values, and leadership expectations.
- Identify opportunities to enhance the employee experience and strengthen organizational culture.
- Employee Experience & Administration:
- Serve as a resource for employees regarding onboarding, engagement, recognition, and employee experience programs.
- Maintain recruiting, onboarding, and employee experience records and documentation.
- Assist with recruiting metrics, workforce reporting, and engagement tracking.
- Support internship programs, talent development initiatives, and other People Operations projects.
- Maintain confidentiality of employees and candidate information.
- Support special projects and strategic initiatives within the People & Strategy Office.
Requirements
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in recruiting, talent acquisition, employee engagement, human resources, customer service, or a related field required.
- Experience coordinating recruiting, hiring, onboarding, or employee engagement activities required.
- Experience sourcing and engaging candidates through LinkedIn Recruiter or similar recruiting platforms preferred.
- Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS), HRIS platforms, recruiting software, or related technologies preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and any required pre-employment screening (drug testing, fingerprinting for FDIC-insured institutions).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional certification such as SHRM-CP, PHR, or a related credential.
- Experience supporting talent acquisition, onboarding, and employee engagement initiatives in a banking, financial services, or other regulated environment.
- Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter, applicant tracking systems, HRIS platforms, and recruiting technologies.
- Experience coordinating employee recognition, engagement, or culture initiatives.
Schedule
- Non-Exempt, Full-time
- Work flexible hours – including evenings or weekends – to meet customer needs, support loan activity, and attend events.
Physical Requirements
- Focus-intensive position requiring extended periods of sitting and digital navigation.
- Occasional walking, standing, and use of office equipment.
- Must possess close visual acuity and clear speech for verbal communication.
Location & Travel
- Physical reporting to Operations location.
- Travel may be necessary depending on business needs.
