About the role

We are seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist with experience in full-cycle recruiting for high-volume, safety-sensitive Operations roles, primarily Class A/B Commercial Drivers and Plant Operators, across one or more locations. This person will partner closely with Operations leadership and branch managers to build reliable talent pipelines, reduce time-to-fill, and ensure every hire meets DOT, safety, and compliance standards. Success in this role requires prior, hands-on experience recruiting for Operations, transportation, industrial, waste, manufacturing, or similar blue-collar/CDL-driven environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment for Drivers (CDL Class A/B) and Plant Operators, from requisition intake through offer.
  • Partner with Operations Managers and branch leadership to understand staffing needs, forecast hiring demand, and prioritize open requisitions.
  • Sources candidates through job boards, driver-specific platforms, trade schools/CDL training programs, referrals, job fairs, and local community outreach.
  • Screens candidates for qualifications, safety record, and cultural fit, including verification of CDL license class/endorsements, driving record (MVR), and DOT medical certification where applicable.
  • Communicates pre-employment requirements: background checks, drug screens (including DOT-required testing), and reference checks in compliance with FMCSA/DOT regulations.
  • Maintain and track weekly hiring goals, and report recruiting metrics (time-to-fill, source-of-hire, offer-acceptance rate, turnover in first 90 days) to HR and Operations leadership.
  • Ensure a positive, professional candidate experience and represent the Liquid Environmental Solutions brand at hiring events and in the community.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience recruiting for Operations, industrial, transportation, logistics, manufacturing, waste/environmental services, or similar hourly/skilled-trade roles.
  • Demonstrated success recruiting CDL Drivers and/or Plant/Equipment Operators or comparable safety-sensitive operational positions.
  • Working knowledge of DOT/FMCSA hiring requirements (MVR review, DOT physicals, drug & alcohol testing, driver qualification files) or the ability to quickly develop this knowledge.
  • Strong sourcing skills across job boards, social media, driver/CDL-specific platforms, and grassroots/community recruiting methods.
  • Experience using an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and building recruiting reports/metrics.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and relationship-management skills; comfortable working directly with Operations leadership and frontline candidates alike.
  • Ability to manage a high-volume requisition load across multiple locations and prioritize effectively under deadline pressure.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred (not required with equivalent experience).
  • Primarily home office-based with travel to branch and plant locations to meet hiring managers, attend hiring events, and observe field operations.
  • May occasionally work outside standard business hours to accommodate candidate availability or hiring events.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license required for travel between sites.
