Essential Job Functions
- Develop and implement recruiting strategies to include prescreening of candidates for interviews.
- Utilize interview questions that reflect the requirements for each position.
- Network with potential candidates through business contacts, association memberships, social media, and employees.
- Manage agency relationships with higher education and external career development centers.
- Create and publish job postings on various online job portals to assist in sourcing of social media platforms for qualified candidates, including DOL, Handshake and College Central and other job boards.
- Work in partnership with managers to develop hiring standards for future employees, to determine the effectiveness of recruiting, participate in onsite open house and offsite Job Fairs.
- Screens CVs and job applications to evaluate if they meet the position requirements.
- Conduct initial phone screens to create shortlists of qualified candidates.
- Maintain a database of potential candidates for future job openings.
- Coordinate and implement college recruiting initiatives.
- Conduct regular followup meetings with managers to assess program needs.
- Perform job and task analysis to document job requirements and objectives.
- Prepare recruitment materials and post jobs to appropriate job board/newspapers/colleges and other online job boards.
- Conduct prescreening interviews using various reliable recruiting and selection tools/methods to filter candidates within schedule.
- Assess applicants' relevant knowledge, skills, soft skills, experience and aptitudes.
- Onboard new employees in order to become fully integrated.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HR recruiting best practices.
- Provide analytical and well documented recruiting reports to the rest of the team.
- Act as a point of contact and build influential candidate relationships during the selection process.
- Promote company's reputation as "best place to work".
Onboarding
- Review and process all applications submitted for new hire are completed by ensuring all forms and application are signed for employment verification and not missing information.
- Verify eligibility of employment or reemployment via Human Resources Data Base and Paychex Flex HRO.
- Input and maintain daily new hire orientation tracking sheet listing information according to the headers of the electronic file.
- Process all new hire paperwork, References, Education, DDS, DCF, SAM, DPH CT License, Criminal and Driving Background Checks.
- Schedule applicant’s preemployment drug testing, physicals and PPD screenings for hire.
- Complete all new hire employee letters for onboarding.
- Responsible for scheduling biweekly onboarding new hire orientation, setting up room the day prior to orientation.
- Aid in maintaining no hire database of terminations and employees not eligible for rehire.
- Prepare new hire information packets for orientation, handbooks, and id badges.
- Ensure all new hire onboarding paperwork is signed off on during orientation.
- Responsible for imputing of new hires into HR Flex Online Personnel Database and submission of uploading to electronic personnel record.
- Verify completion of Trust HR Online New Hire Trainings and submission of timesheets to payroll for processing orientation hours.
- Provide employment status report to quality department on a biweekly basis.
Quality Assurance
- Adheres to policies and practices as outlined in staff handbook and program operations manual.
- Consistently works in a respectful, constructive, and cooperative manner with fellow staff and providers.
- Upholds all Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulations and workplace confidentially and secures all necessary releases of information for outside communication.
- Models culturally competent behavior interacting with clients, professionals/providers, and fellow staff.
- Participates in agency meetings, team meetings, and safety committees.
- Adheres to the standards of the Council on the Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities.
- Completes all trainings as required per program contract and agency policy.
- Attends agency sponsored inservices, outside trainings, conferences and meetings to facilitate continued professional growth and ensure the quality of case management practices.
- Collects affirmative action plan data for yearend reporting.
