About the Role
The Talent Acquisition Specialist Sr is responsible for full life-cycle recruiting: recruiting, screening, and recommending placement of staff using creative sourcing methods (internal and external). This role manages technical and non-technical exempt professional positions, management positions, and other related responsibilities. The position requires the ability to work independently with minimal guidance and serve as a resource to less experienced Talent Acquisition employees.
Responsibilities
- Partners with hiring managers and HR Business Partners to determine staffing needs.
- Screens resumes, interviews candidates (by phone or in person), administers assessments, performs reference/background checks, makes hiring recommendations, and delivers employment offers for exempt and non-exempt positions.
- Serves as an expert for recruiting candidates within an assigned territory.
- Uses traditional and non-traditional resources (e.g., career fairs, online job fairs, community network events) to identify and attract quality candidates.
- Partners with Sourcing Specialists to present a diverse slate of qualified candidates to hiring managers.
- Manages the internal transfer process, including screening, interview coordination, and transfer offer letters.
- Follows up with candidates and hiring managers to obtain feedback on the recruiting process.
- Develops and maintains excellent relationships with internal and external clients to achieve staffing goals.
- Communicates key employment information during offer delivery (e.g., benefits, compensation, non-compete agreements).
- Ensures onboarding and new hire orientation processes occur.
- Works with hiring managers to ensure compliance with federal/state laws and regulations, including affirmative action plan compliance.
- Manages candidate activity in the applicant tracking system (ATS).
- Oversees application/resume file retention according to company policy.
- Maintains memberships and affiliations with trade/professional organizations related to the industry.
- Leads the development of one or more annual Affirmative Action Plans.
- Suggests and helps implement process improvements for a more effective, efficient, and compliant recruiting process.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in human resource management or related field preferred; equivalent years of experience may substitute.
- Five years of corporate experience in recruitment and placement of applicants in professional and management-level exempt positions.
- Three years of experience working with electronic applicant systems and internet recruiting sources.
- Valid driver’s license.

Location
This role is onsite in Columbus, Ohio.
Travel
35-50% travel required.
Physical Demands
Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects. Involves sitting most of the time but may require walking or standing for brief periods.
Pay
Compensation range: $87,633.00 - $109,543.00.
