Talent Acquisition Senior Specialist

As the Talent Acquisition Senior Specialist for the Los Angeles office, you will drive the full spectrum of recruiting efforts to fulfill consulting staff people needs. This includes candidate pipeline development, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and converting candidates. You will collaborate with the Los Angeles Recruiting Partner, local office and core school Recruiting Directors, and regional recruiting teams to execute the annual recruiting pipeline across OneBCG, focusing on entry-level core business consulting roles (Associates and Consultants) from both campus and experienced hire pools.
You will work with Los Angeles Partners, Recruiting Directors, and the Talent Acquisition team to develop and implement the overall recruiting strategy, manage day-to-day operations, and suggest process improvements as needed. This role reports directly to the Los Angeles Talent Acquisition Senior Manager but works closely with multiple stakeholders across the firm.
Responsibilities
- Support the development of the Los Angeles office recruiting strategy alongside the Talent Acquisition Senior Manager, Recruiting Partner, and Recruiting Directors.
- Oversee office-specific recruiting efforts to meet annual Consultant and Associate hiring targets, including:
- Candidate pipeline development through managed schools, formal channels (e.g., online applications, referrals), and non-traditional sources.
- Proactively identify and engage untapped talent communities to broaden pipeline reach.
- Sourcing, screening, interviewing, and converting candidates.
- Decision-round interviewing and offeree conversion.
- Develop and implement processes for new initiatives (e.g., short lead-time recruiting, ADC recruiting, deepening engagement at core schools, strengthening presence at local schools).
- Manage the recruiting commitments process, including selecting interview cadres, staffing events, ensuring commitments are upheld, and managing the swaps process.
- Maintain the recruiting calendar and use recruiting systems to generate correspondence, reports, interview/event invitations, and analytics.
- Collect and analyze data to evaluate recruiting effectiveness, provide improvement input, and monitor the competitive environment.
- Act as the main initial contact for candidates, responding to inquiries and building relationships with top priority candidates.
- Schedule, plan, and execute office-specific events, including first-round and decision-round interviews.
- Monitor and screen applications, liaise with HR for onboarding (offer letters, signing bonuses, etc.), and prepare required reports.
- Plan and execute Welcome Weekends, ensuring communication with staff around events (confirmations, logistics, feedback).
- Assist with annual budget planning and ensure allocations remain at or under plan.
- Manage summer internship programs, including orientation, training, case staffing, performance evaluation, and affiliation events.
- Lead continuous improvement efforts in Los Angeles office recruiting, collaborating with other West System offices.
- Manage short lead-time recruiting efforts in coordination with the system.
- Ensure recruiting records, global database, and metrics are accurate and up to date.
- Enforce company and function policies, manage risk, and build networks with peers in other offices and regional recruiting teams.
- Deliver on specific responsibilities, including:
- Specialist training and engagement.
- Decision-round candidate selection and coaching.
- Conversion strategy and Offeree Captain coordination.
- Offeree weekend and summer program strategy.
- Conversion tracking and special analysis/project coordination.
- Support for Partner and Principal meetings, and Los Angeles staff meetings.
- Support for other Los Angeles office initiatives, such as affiliation and engagement.
- Lead and execute strategic projects as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent required.
- At least 3-4 years of previous recruiting, HR, or related experience; prior professional services recruiting experience is a plus.
- Consulting experience or exposure is a plus.
- Experience working successfully within a complex, matrix-structured organization.
- Flexibility and some travel required, particularly during peak recruiting season and planning weeks; attendance at key evening and weekend events is required.

Who You'll Work With
You’ll work with a closely knit team of West System Talent Acquisition members. You will report directly to the Los Angeles Talent Acquisition Senior Manager and collaborate with the Los Angeles Business Management Leader, Office Leader, Recruiting Partner, Recruiting Directors, and regional Talent Acquisition teams across North America. This role serves as the go-to person for all Los Angeles Talent Acquisition initiatives.
Schedule
At BCG, we operate on a hybrid model, with the expectation that team members will be in the office 3 to 5 days per week. This role is designed for those who thrive in a dynamic, collaborative environment and is not intended for remote or virtual work.
Pay
The base salary range for this role is $99,000 - $121,000, depending on factors such as office location, experience, and skill set. Total compensation includes base salary, an annual discretionary performance bonus of up to 12%, and a retirement contribution starting at 5% and increasing to 10% after 2 years.
