Talent Acquisition Partner- Construction Operations
Position Summary
As a Recruiter (Operations/Project Management) at Southland Industries, you will play a vital role in our company's growth by identifying, sourcing, and engaging top talent to join our team. You will collaborate closely with the Talent Acquisition leadership to understand the staffing needs and develop effective recruiting strategies to attract qualified candidates. The ideal candidate will possess construction recruiting experience, excellent communication skills, a strong ability to multitask, and a passion for connecting talented individuals with exciting career opportunities. This is a remote role and will be largely focused on Operation/Project Management recruiting with expectations to cover other recruiting needs in the business as assigned.
Position Details
- Partner with TA Leads to understand staffing needs and develop recruitment strategies.
- Sources candidates through various channels, including job boards, social media, passive searches, internal talent communities, and employee referrals.
- Screens resumes and conducts initial phone interviews to assess candidate qualifications and fit for open positions.
- Coordination and scheduling of interviews with hiring managers and candidates.
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date candidate records in the applicant tracking system (ATS).
- Lives the 'People-First' Southland brand by providing a world-class candidate experience. This includes communicating effectively with candidates throughout the recruitment process, and providing timely updates and feedback.
- Pairs with Talent Acquisition to understand current state of the business and forecasted talent needs to help develop and deploy strategic recruiting plans.
- Stays informed about industry trends and best practices in recruiting to continuously improve recruitment processes and strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Proven experience as a recruiter within the Construction industry required. The ideal candidate will have experience recruiting Project Management roles within the Construction industry.
- Ability to "talk the same language" and partner with hiring managers to best understand needs, using that to effectively sell opportunities to candidates.
- Strong knowledge of recruitment tools and techniques including passive recruiting, Boolean searching, and cold calling.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be a self-starter and take initiative to identify improvements - we are always looking for ways to be better, faster, stronger.
- Able to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and candidate sourcing platforms.

Pay
Final pay is determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. For Colorado/New York City/California/Washington/Maryland/Virginia/DC this ranges from $93,375-$120,000 plus annual incentive, benefits, and retirement program as outlined above.
Contingent Employment
All employment offers are contingent upon successful drug tests, background checks, and professional reference checks. Roles that include driving as an essential job duty will be required to have a successful Motor Vehicle Record check (MVR).
