About the Role
The Talent Acquisition Manager supports end-to-end recruiting processes within an assigned functional area of the business. This role is responsible for communicating with candidates, hiring managers, and internal support services to ensure the attraction and successful recruitment of the right talent for each requisition, supporting the organization’s Right People + Best Culture goals.
Responsibilities
- Manages full life-cycle recruiting for a variety of roles within assigned area of responsibility.
- Collaborates with HR Business Partners, hiring managers, and Business Leaders to drive talent processes and support human capital strategy across the business.
- Oversees the selection process by identifying and assessing active and passive candidates, conducting pre-screens, facilitating interviews, and leading debrief sessions with interview teams.
- Identifies potential concerns during the hiring process and proactively recommends solutions to ensure a successful hire.
- Utilizes information gained from candidates and hiring teams to recommend appropriate candidates with specific openings.
- Markets the organization and employee benefits to candidates to position the organization as an employer of choice.
- Influences hiring teams to adopt the organization’s hiring best practices and resources.
- Implements defined national and local Talent Acquisition strategy.
- Maintains awareness of current hiring trends, competitor information, and employment market conditions.
- Acts as subject matter expert and partner for business leaders, developing collaborative partnerships to improve talent acquisition operations within area of emphasis.
- Stays current on hiring trends, competitor information, and employment market conditions.
- Partners with business leaders to develop sourcing strategies and solutions that deliver a pipeline of talent to meet emerging business needs and address anticipated talent gaps.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Communications, or related field (Required). In lieu of the above requirements, relevant experience will be considered.
- 8+ years of progressive experience in recruiting or talent management (Required).
Skills
- Ability to perform work accurately and completely, and in a timely manner.
- Advanced communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Intermediate proficiency in MS Office.
- Advanced organizational skills.
- In-depth knowledge of talent acquisition practices, processes, and solutions, with the ability to provide coaching and guidance to hiring managers on a variety of talent-related situations.
- Ability to influence candidates in various stages of awareness about the organization to consider a range of opportunities.
- Facilitation skills with the ability to foster and maintain collaborative relationships with customers, peers, subordinates, and other members of management.
- Strong presentation skills, both verbal and written, including the ability to communicate business and technical information clearly.
- Strong project management, organizing, and planning skills.
- Ability to build relationships and collaborate within a team, internally and externally.
Working Environment
- Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds.
- May require extensive periods of travel.
- Normal office environment.
- Frequent activity: Sitting, viewing computer screen.
- Occasional activity: Standing, walking, bending, reaching above shoulder.
