A Day in the Life As a Tagging and Inventory Technician, you’ll be responsible for performing inspections on various types of facilities in the Oil and Gas Industry to identify and quantify hydrocarbon gas leaks and vents at offshore facilities. The compensation range for this role is $21 - $23/hr. commensurate with experience, skills, and geographic location. To thrive in this role, you’ll be comfortable taking ownership of the following responsibilities: Assisting in coordinating and navigating to various facilities with maps and GPSHelping to calibrate and maintain equipmentUsing various detection and measurement technologies under the supervision of the Team LeadCollecting and recording emission dataPreparing field reports as required Your Expertise And Skills These requirements reflect the knowledge, skills and abilities that help you do your best work here. Experience in Oil and Gas industry (preference given to candidates with natural gas processing/transmission facility experience)Effective computer skills (Excel and Microsoft Office are essential) and proficiency with Android OSExperience leading a team preferred/required, depending on the positionMust be able to communicate clearly and preciselyOffshore and/or military experience is a plus.Valid driver's licensePreference will be given to candidates with an associate or bachelor's degree in engineering technology or applicable technical degree/diploma; related work experience in hydrocarbon detection and measurement, LDAR, Offshore, instrumentation or stack emission testing or a mechanical background are also preferred, but not required Work Environment And Physical Requirements Must be willing and able to work on ocean/offshore sites for periods of up to 2–3 weeks at a time.Must be clean-shaven where required for safety/PPE purposes.Must be able to successfully complete swing-rope certification, including demonstrating the ability to safely support and control loads equivalent to approximately 2–3 times the individual’s body weight due to the forces generated during the swingResponsible for participating in all required safety training and assisting with safety procedures, including first aid, CPR, fire drills, and emergency evacuationsMust be able to perform job duties onshore and/or offshore, including transportation by company vehicle, helicopter, and/or boatMust be able to communicate clearly and preciselyMust be able to work safely in extreme environments, including cold, heat, wind, rain, and open-ocean conditionsMust be able to safely ascend and descend structures up to approximately 200 feet in height and remain physically capable of performing required job duties after climbingPosition requires significant physical exertion, including climbing stairs and ladders, carrying heavy equipment, working at heights, and potentially working in confined spacesAbility to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check #INDONT Onterris is a leading global environmental solutions company partnering with organizations to solve complex challenges where environmental pressures, regulatory expectations and operational risks intersect.
