Tactical Security Guard- Flex Team

About the role

GardaWorld Security Services is hiring a Tactical Security Guard‑ Flex Team. Candidates must have at least five years of security experience, be 21+ years of age, hold baton, OC spray, and handcuff permits, and be willing to work in San Francisco & East Bay sites. The role requires flexibility to work any day and any shift (day, swing, or overnight) as scheduling needs vary. Key strengths include keen observation, ability to read the environment, anticipate risk, and act accordingly, plus physical ability to patrol indoor and outdoor environments such as retail stores, airports, detention centers, etc. GardaWorld notes that 26% of its corporate employees started as frontline workers and that it is the only guarding security company in the United States certified by Great Place to Work.

Responsibilities

• Observe, survey the area and provide reporting on activity at your assigned location.
• Work indoor and outdoor in a variable environment.
• Provide rapid response in critical situations.
• Read and write detailed reports.
• Enforce customer procedures, regulations and standards when appropriate.
• Patrol sensitive areas to spot suspicious activity.
• React quickly to threats or incidents.
• Detain and search individuals.
• Document incidents and actions taken.
• Respond to alarms and conduct on‑site checks.
• Collaborate with law enforcement during serious incidents.
• Ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property.

Qualifications

• State security license (BSIS Guard Card) and additional 32‑hour BSIS security trainings (additional trainings can be obtained during hiring).
• High school diploma or GED.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• At least five years of security experience.
• 21+ years of age.
• Baton permit.
• OC spray permit.
• Handcuff permit.
• Willing to commute to San Francisco & East Bay sites.
• First aid certification is an asset.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
• Security, military, or law enforcement experience is a plus.

Pay

Competitive hourly wage of $35/hour (depending on site); DailyPay available for GardaWorld employees.
