Tactical Communications Instructor
About the role
Tactical Communications Instructor at GDIT provides training on SOF specific Tactical radios and communications systems, Medium Data Rate Terminal (MDRT) baseband packages and other site-specific related network and systems infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Provide instructor-led training on tactical radios and communication systems.
- Plan, configure, operate, maintain, and document MDRT baseband systems and associated equipment.
- Manage and track firmware upgrades for RF radio systems.
- Integrate RF systems into the Tactical Mission Network from multiple spectrums.
- Incorporate Command and Control (C2) options for training, exercises, and deployments.
Requirements
- 5+ years of related experience.
- Instructing experience.
- DOD 8570 IAT level II certification.
- Associates degree in a related field.
Qualifications
- Communication Systems expertise.
- Radio Communications Systems knowledge.
- Tactical Radios familiarity.
- Teaching certifications not required.
Skills
- Closely follow network protocols and methodologies.
- Evaluate network performance and interact with users to solve complex problems.
- Work at a high technical level on all phases of network operations.
- Maintain complex range of computer network components and systems.
- Provide client consulting and training on network facilities.
- Plan and coordinate computer network initiatives.
- Research, evaluate, and recommend new computer network equipment and technologies.
- Develop solutions to operational problems within the capacity and operational limitations of installed equipment.
- Provide internal consulting, technical guidance, information, and support to application developers, computer operations, workstation support, company management, and departmental clients.
- Work with other network professionals as directed to coordinate efforts, resolve cross-team issues, and communicate changes.

Pay
The likely salary range for this position is $102,000 - $138,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location, and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
