Essential Job Function

The incumbent will be required to conduct requirements analysis, contribute to design reviews, develop and execute system evaluation procedures for laboratory/integration events, characterize/document anomalies, troubleshoot/verify system and subsystem anomalies, and document integration activities throughout the lifecycle of the product in a Science and Technology (S&T) environment.

  • Support the setup, maintenance, troubleshooting, and demonstration of military communication systems in test environments.
  • Aid in the development of work estimates for new and continuing work.
  • Develop and manage requirements for new products and services.
  • Aid in the development of test cases.
  • Sustain system test and verification procedures.
  • Document deficiencies.
  • Support installation and upgrades.
  • Support business development activities.
  • Share knowledge/expertise and insight to support planning, reviews, and Agile ceremonies (as necessary).

Required Skills

  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • A high school diploma with 12 plus years of relevant experience.
  • An associates/trade school with 10 plus years of relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years prior military or government/military contractor experience with tactical communications systems.
  • A basic understanding of encryption management and RF transmission principles.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information level clearance for continued employment.

Desired Skills

  • Five years’ hands-on experience with relevant tactical communications systems.
  • Experience with tactical communication systems and secure communications networks, including loading, initializing, and configuring communications software.
  • Experience in installing and troubleshooting aviation subsystems.
  • A working knowledge of DoW guidelines for encryption.
  • Previous experience with DoW command control and communication systems.
  • Excellent problem solving, communication, and interpersonal skills and able to communicate effectively (written/oral).
