Tableau Next Developer - Senior/Lead
Salesforce is the #1 AI CRM, where humans with agents drive customer success together. Here, ambition meets action, tech meets trust, and innovation is a way of life. The CCO Product Strategy team is a newly formed and fast-growing group within Salesforce's Chief Customer Officer (CCO) organization, sitting at the intersection of product, data, and strategy. We're building our data capability from the ground up, offering a rare opportunity to join at the foundation stage and shape how we harness data to drive customer success outcomes across the Salesforce ecosystem.
About the role
We're scaling the team behind the Headless 360 Data Foundation Platform—a predictive P&L engine replacing static spreadsheet analysis with customer-level P&L management. Our stack includes Tableau Next, Snowflake, and Salesforce Data Cloud. Our mission is to build the gold standard for data products that power CCO and Customer Success strategy.
Responsibilities
- Own the wireframe-to-live-dashboard cycle in Tableau Next, starting with the MVP dashboard consuming the first validated ML output table, and continuing through second- and third-dashboard releases on consecutive sprints.
- Design and implement the row-level security (RLS) and access model in Tableau Next so every dashboard ships with the right data visible to the right stakeholders.
- Set up Pulse anomaly alerts on top accounts for key business metrics.
- Migrate the existing Tableau dashboard to Tableau Next to unblock the agentic and Slack-workflow layer built on top of it.
- Write SQL against Snowflake-backed sources to validate what a dashboard is showing.
- Ensure every dashboard ships with RLS/access controls set and a metric definition in the catalog before going live.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with Tableau Next specifically—not just classic Tableau—or the ability to ramp quickly if you're far enough along in Tableau.
- Experience designing and implementing RLS or another access-controlled dashboard model (essential, not a nice-to-have).
- Comfort writing SQL against Snowflake-backed sources.
- Thrives in ambiguous, 0-to-1 environments and wants to help stand up a data foundation from scratch.
- Detail-oriented about what ships—every dashboard needs RLS/access controls and a metric definition before going live.
Skills
- Tableau Next experience (not classic Tableau).
- RLS / access-model design and implementation.
- Experience with MCP-ready or agentic dashboard/Slack workflows.
- Experience with Salesforce Data Cloud or Salesforce CRM Analytics (preferred).
- Pulse or anomaly-alerting configuration experience (preferred).
- Familiarity with dbt or semantic-layer concepts (preferred).
