Responsibilities
- Supervise, monitor, and control an assigned pit section to deliver customer service in accordance with corporate and property-specific standards.
- Maintain the integrity of the games and practices, supports, and ensures adherence to Mission, Vision, and Values of Casino.
- Work with all regulatory agencies, including the Gaming Commission, State, and Federal.
- Learn and enforce policies and procedures as outlined in the departments’ Internal Controls and Spokane Tribe Casino Team Member Handbook.
- Avoid suspicious or irregular activity by maintaining constant awareness of games in assigned locations.
- Control and direct games in progress, providing assistance and dealer corrections.
- Maintain high standards of customer courtesy and work closely with casino staff.
- Explain the benefits of a players’ card and assist in completing registration processes.
- Hire, appraise, and discipline staff as needed.
- Provide and monitor on-the-job training for Dealers to ensure adequate job performance.
- Resolve customer complaints and disputes.
- Ensure staff is current with training related to Title 31 and other relevant regulations.
- Directly supervise the activities of all Employees in the Table Games department on assigned shifts.
- Carry out supervisory responsibilities, including training, planning, directing work, evaluating performance, disciplining employees, addressing complaints, and resolving problems.
- Assume overall responsibility for effective gaming service activities for a designated area or pit.
- Communicate effectively with all levels of team members and customers.
- Move around all work areas effectively and efficiently.
- Work in a fast-paced environment and occasionally under conditions of extreme urgency.
- Multi-task and work independently with good judgment.
- Have excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Maintain confidentiality and recognize various scams and cheating techniques.
- Work in environments containing varying noise, smoke, and temperature levels.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of Table Games Experience.
- Trained and knowledgeable in all games offered by Spokane Tribe Casino (Roulette, Craps, Spanish, Blackjack, UTH, various carnival games).
- Supervisory experience in a live casino gaming facility required.
- Excellent Customer Service skills.
- Proven ability to lead, train, and motivate employees.
- Ability to work independently and use good judgment.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Multi-tasking ability.
- Computer experience.
- Sound technical understanding of Table Games Internal Controls, policies, procedures, compact requirements, and the Employee Handbook.
- Knowledge of and ability to identify various scams and cheating techniques.
- Able to maintain confidentiality.
- Strong guest service and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work in environments containing varying noise, smoke, and temperature levels.
