Responsibilities
- Dealing the game and monitoring the monies of the table at all times.
- Maintaining gaming cards and equipment.
- Monitoring guests’ movements at the table to protect company assets.
- Analyzing customer play for cheating scams and suspicious behavior.
- Providing excellent customer service.
- Paying wins and taking losses.
- Ensuring the safety and security of guests and employees.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
Skills
- Ability to speak, listen, and follow directions in English.
- Ability to read, write, and understand basic instructions in English.
- Knowledge of specified games and gaming regulations.
- Ability to add monies and chips.
- Knowledge of theft techniques.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to perform tasks under frequent time pressure in an interruptive environment.
- Able to complete paperwork and forms accurately.
- Knowledge of basic mathematical functions.
- Understanding of company policy and procedures, IRS Bank Secrecy Act, and internal controls.
- Knowledge of all facilities available to guests on property.
- Ability to maintain a pleasant, friendly, and welcoming attitude with appropriate facial expressions and knowledge of special events and promotional activities.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- At least 6 months experience as a casino dealer or certification from an accredited dealer school.
- Experience dealing at least two of the following games: Black Jack, Craps, or Roulette.
- Working knowledge of novelty games.
- The ability to secure and maintain licensure as required by Louisiana Gaming Control Board or any other applicable regulatory entity.
Physical Requirements
- Standing for 75% of the time.
- Walking for 10% of the time.
- Bending for 15% of the time (from waist).
- Repetitive hand motions.
- Going up and down 31 stairs multiple times per day.
- Using elevators frequently.
