Systems Test Engineer - National Capital Region (NCR); Must have an active TS/SCI Clearance with Polygraph

About the role

The Systems Test Engineer is responsible for designing, conducting, and analyzing tests to ensure the quality and functionality of complex systems. This role requires a strong background in software testing, system engineering, and a current Top Secret/SCI clearance with a polygraph.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute test plans to validate system requirements
• Identify and document defects in software and hardware systems
• Work closely with development teams to understand system architecture and design
• Perform regression testing to ensure existing functionality is maintained
• Collaborate with other stakeholders including project managers, developers, and customers

Requirements

• BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in software testing or system engineering
• Active TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
• Experience with automated testing tools and methodologies
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Qualifications

• Knowledge of software development lifecycle and agile methodologies
• Experience with system integration testing and performance testing
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Skills

• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or Bash
• Experience with testing frameworks like Selenium, JUnit, or PyTest
• Good understanding of network protocols and security concepts
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
