Data Engineer - National Capital Region (NCR); Must have an active TS/SCI Clearance with Polygraph

About the role

A Data Engineer is needed for a role in the National Capital Region (NCR). The ideal candidate must possess an active Top Secret/SCI clearance with a polygraph.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement data pipelines using Apache Airflow and Kubernetes
• Develop and maintain ETL processes for large datasets
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Optimize database performance and manage database schemas
• Ensure data quality and integrity through automated testing and validation
• Document all data engineering activities for future reference and maintenance

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in data engineering
• Experience with Apache Airflow and Kubernetes
• Strong understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases
• Proficiency in Python and/or Scala
• Experience with data warehousing and data modeling
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
