Systems Test Engineer

About the role

nLogic is seeking a Systems Test Engineer to support mission‑focused operations in an individual contributor role focused on automated test and verification. The position involves developing automation‑related software development products and working onsite in Huntsville, AL.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automation software for test and verification activities.
• Support mission‑focused operations through automated testing solutions.
• Collaborate with product teams to create technical solutions.
• Apply Systems Engineering V‑Model practices to verification efforts.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum processes, potentially in leadership roles such as Scrum Master or Product Owner.

Required Qualifications

• Current, in‑scope Secret security clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university + 5+ years related experience,
  or Master’s degree + 3+ years related experience,
  or PhD + 1 year related experience.
• Experience with components of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) – design, development, integration, testing, or deployment.
• Experience with requirements management tools such as DOORS.
• Familiarity with Agile software development tools (Jira, Confluence, Fisheye/Crucible, Bitbucket).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and within team environments.
• Willingness to work onsite in Huntsville, AL.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with requirements decomposition and requirements management.
• Degree in Systems Engineering.
• Experience with requirement verification methods such as test.
• Knowledge and experience with missile defense or missile weapon systems.
• Demonstrated independent planning, organization, and cross‑functional teamwork with a customer focus.
• Understanding of the Systems Engineering V‑Model.
• Degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science.
• Experience developing technical solutions in collaboration with product teams.
• Experience in software development related to test automation.
• Experience using Jenkins and Elasticsearch.
• Agile/Scrum leadership experience (Scrum Master or Product Owner).
• Current Security+ certification.
• Professional experience developing with Python or similar languages.
