Systems Technician

We are looking for a full-time Systems Technician to join our team. Apply → Job Responsibilities: The Systems Technician will commission, install and service AV System solutions for Spye clients. This position will work closely with the Programming, Project, and Service Managers along with programmers, technicians, and installers. This position will lead/assist in the configuration, setup and commissioning of systems integration projects and service-related issues as assigned. This role will be expected to be an active and supportive member of the project & service teams and abide by the core values of the organization. Essential Duties And Responsibilities: Perform installation tasks for audio visual projects including but not limited to pulling cable, installing connectors, mounting projectors and displaysRead and interpret electronic schematics and architectural blueprintsUse hand and power tools to solder and crimp connectors along with various other AV systems related tasksAssist with basic rack wiringTest point to point functionality of systemsField installation of AV System hardwareTrain and Mentor Jr installers andMake minor programming changes under the direction of a programmer as neededProvide site supervisor of install team with direction from the Project ManagerPerform client training as neededResponsible for job documentation as neededDemonstrate job site leadershipLead/Assist the configuration and deployment of digital signage solutions & installationsLead/Assist on service and maintenance for digital signage solutions & installationsOther duties as assigned Direct Reports: Two Installers Other Duties Assigned As Needed Skills And Abilities: Effective communication and interaction with employees, clients, and colleaguesUnderstand and maintain project budgetsEffectively manage multiple projectsDemonstrate time management skills with attention to detailUnderstand AV system functionality and installation processes and techniquesUnderstand technical and construction documentsProficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Microsoft Project and Adobe Acrobat (a computer and $70/month cell phone re-imbursement will be provided – tethering required on your cell phone plan)Valid Driver’s License and a Motor Vehicle RecordObtain/Maintain Extron CertificationsXTP TechnicianProDSP SpecialistObtain/Maintain CTS CertificationBecome familiar with the AV systems Spye deploys and configuresMust become proficient at commissioning/configuring/troubleshooting Extron systems hardware that utilizeBecome familiar and proficient in assisting, configuring, commissioning, and training clients with Zoom Rooms setups. ‍ Spye is a company that you can learn and grow in while gaining invaluable experience with a team of nationally recognized designers and engineers.
