About the Role
This is a front-line, customer-facing position responsible for entitlement management, equipment maintenance, compliance auditing, computer and peripheral deployment, alert monitoring, and problem resolution. System Technicians support the Elite Casino Resorts mission and vision by ensuring a high-quality technology experience while adhering to ethical standards of professional conduct.
Responsibilities
- Entitlement Services: Make basic changes related to physical and logical access by applying permissions based on requirements evaluation and developing solutions to achieve system functions.
- Procurement: Gather information from end users to evaluate job requirements, determine hardware/software/system specifications, recommend solutions, and propose them to leadership. Assist with inventory control, asset disposal, shipping, and receiving.
- Equipment Deployment: Deploy telephones, computing devices, and peripherals by testing configuration templates and installing hardware/software/systems based on end-user requirements.
- Patch Management: Assist with testing and deploying security and software updates, troubleshooting issues, and following escalation processes.
- Ticket Handling: Assist end users with break/fix troubleshooting, equipment moves, and recurring compliance tasks based on priority, documenting key findings and solutions.
- On-Call Duties: Participate in after-hours on-call rotation to investigate system alarms, respond to critical technical needs, and remediate business-impacting events.
- Monitoring: Actively monitor company technology assets, respond to threshold breaches, and rectify root causes.
- Compliance Auditing: Assist with regular compliance audits related to entitlement review, log evaluation, and security events, documenting compliance status.
- Enterprise Printing: Support the enterprise printer and multi-function device fleet, including configuration, vendor coordination, supply management, and problem resolution.
- Move/Add/Change: Modify directory services for user rights, email distribution groups, and security entitlements. Apply change management for application configurations and coordinate physical workspace/equipment changes.
- Documentation: Assist in writing process and procedure guidelines for essential duties and provide step-by-step documentation for ticket handling.
- Vendor Coordination: Communicate issues and assist with resolution activities involving third-party vendors, including ticket creation and remote access.
- Team Mentoring: Receive guidance and constructive feedback from team members.
- Automation: Test software installation packages, including repairs and vendor-supplied patches, and document results.
- Deployment Systems: Utilize deployment systems to track assets, test machine images, deploy applications, and manage patches.
- Enterprise Backups: Assist with basic backup duties and tape rotation to maintain compliance.
