Systems Programmer

Job Summary

Talent Software Services is in search of a Systems Programmer for a contract position in Columbia, SC. The opportunity will be for six months with a strong chance for a long-term extension.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Monitor system health:
  • Review logs
  • Monitor alerts
• Ensure servers and critical services are running smoothly
• Perform operational support for zVM environment:
  • Work tickets
  • System upgrades
  • Disaster recovery exercises
• Ensure systems are stable, secure, and ready for workloads

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in:
  • Computer Science
  • Information Systems
  • Or related field
• OR 4 years of job-related work experience
• OR 2 years of job-related experience + Associate's degree in CS/IT or related field
• Minimum 4 years of IT experience
• Must include varied programming experience
