Systems Programmer

About the Role

This individual role will write, test, debug, and maintain code used to support applications, systems, and services. You will leverage your experience to provide guidance to the systems team and assist with training. The position is located onsite in Fargo, ND.

Responsibilities

• Write, analyze, and document programs across platforms in accordance with programming standards.
• Test code to ensure functionality and alignment with project scope requirements.
• Deliver project assignments on time, either independently or as part of a team.
• Utilize development tools and version control software for source code management.
• Apply communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and knowledge of best practices to support the systems team.
• Provide excellent customer service for in-house applications.
• Maintain and assist with the design of application-related database tables.
• Design and maintain coding guidelines.
• Mentor new programmers to follow consistent coding guidelines.

Requirements

• Relevant associate degree preferred or a comparable level of knowledge and skill gained through work experience.
• 3-5 years’ experience developing applications using Java, JavaScript, C++, C#, Python, and T-SQL.
• Experience with web technologies such as HTML, CSS, PHP, and Wicket.
• Willingness to stay current on industry changes through continuing education.
