About the role

This position is responsible for the overall operation of all product line machinery systems which include the Prequalifying System, Mill System 2, Mill System 3, Liberator Line System, Granulation System, Packaging Line System, and Roto-Grind System. The operator must ensure high-quality standards for product and work-in-progress (WIP) material while meeting deadlines safely. Each system cleans, sizes, and refines raw material per customer order but processes different products.

Responsibilities

• Operate all production machinery line systems with minimal supervision (40% of time).
• Conduct visual inspections of machinery and perform general preventive maintenance.
• Set up, operate, troubleshoot, adjust settings, and maintain line machinery processes using computer touch screens, control panels, and mechanical practices.
• Perform required quality ASTM sieve testing on all products and conduct continuous quality control checks, including sieve analysis, bulk density testing, and flow rate measurements.
• Handle computer touch screen set-ups and adjustments.
• Perform mandatory equipment and material inspections.
• Jockey trailers to and from docks, operate lift trucks and skid steer loaders.
• Maintain all production line-related documentation, including inventory and data entry.
• Assist in creating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Cross-train into other job functions as needed.
• Perform housekeeping activities, including using compressed air systems to clean de-stoners, gravity table decks, and air filters.
• Attend routine departmental, production, safety, and company meetings.
