Systems Operations Engineer (Prod Support and Monitoring & Observability tools) - Only W2

About the role

This role involves providing production support and managing monitoring and observability tools for finance applications.

Responsibilities

• Support and manage SQL and DB operations, including Oracle, Linux commands, Shell scripts, and Autosys.
• Utilize observability tools like Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus, and AppDynamics for incident fixes and avoidance.
• Work on complex technical challenges, including batch processing and Openshift workload support.
• Collaborate with engineering teams and cross-functional partners to resolve systems support issues and drive operational excellence.
• Leverage AI enhanced observability tools for root cause analysis, noise reduction, and system performance optimization.
• Apply AI assisted troubleshooting tools and automation frameworks to streamline incident resolution and operational workflows.
• Incorporate predictive analytics and AIOps insights into planning, capacity management, and continuous improvement efforts.

Requirements

• 5+ years of Systems Engineering or Technology Architecture experience.
• 5+ years of application production support experience.
• 5+ years of IT infrastructure product and service control management experience.
• 5+ years of experience with SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, Unix, Autosys, ITRS, and AppDynamics.
• Hands-on experience with AI driven monitoring and AIOps platforms.
• Experience with generative AI or LLM based tools for diagnostics, system pattern analysis, and triage workflows.
• An industry standard technology certification.
• Knowledge of test driven development practices.
• Experience in designing or developing training materials for complex technology systems.

Qualifications

• Financial accounting tool experience is a plus.
