About the role

Lead Systems Integration Architect supporting the PICRD II contract in Colorado Springs, CO. Responsibilities include participating in J6 IT Governance processes, assisting the Government with customer/user communication requirements, and overseeing the development and coordination of technical solutions to ensure compatibility within the HQ USSPACECOM infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain Communication and Information Systems Installation Records (CSIRs) and Preventive Maintenance Inspection (PMI) reports, ensuring documentation meets agreed-upon standards.
  • Provide information to the Government using databases and tools as required by USSPACECOM processes.
  • Develop technical solutions, cost estimates, total cost of ownership/operation data, POA&Ms, LCM inputs/changes, and recommendations.
  • Interface with USSPACECOM and external stakeholders in working groups, technical exchange meetings, and other forums; chair or co-chair meetings as directed.
  • Support examining mission requirements and assist in developing technical requirements for multi-level classification networks and releasable classification levels.
  • Interact with customers/users to develop and review communication system requirements; compare needs with existing infrastructure to identify shortfalls/excesses and ensure interoperability.
  • Oversee the development and review of CR/TS documented in service design packages for solutions related to infrastructure, network, computer systems, software, finance, installation, outside agency coordination, information assurance, and compatibility assurance.
  • Provide technical network and systems engineering expertise to document solutions in service design packages that meet customer requirements.
  • Work within the J6 IT governance process to assist the Government in defining requirements, developing technical solutions, and creating work plans consistent with architectural and information system security guidelines.
  • Develop local procedures for preparing and processing communication system requirements.
  • Oversee technical solution coordination per the Government-approved communications requirements process, documented in a service design package.
  • Monitor and inform the requesting organization of requirement status through design, implementation, and accreditation stages.
  • Detail the impact on infrastructure, methods, and means of implementation, including system description, points of contact, implementation dates, hardware/software requirements, funding, and information classification.
  • Determine available resources for equipment installation and maintenance; include requirements in project/implementation plans and coordinate logistics support with appropriate agencies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • BS degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science from an ABET-accredited or CAE-designated institution.
  • 6+ years of technical experience.
  • Meets the Core and Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Tasks (KSATs) defined in the DoD Cyber Workforce Framework for Work Role 632 (NIST: SP-SYS-002).
  • Experience with system loading and (re)configuration, user account management, system backup and recovery, troubleshooting, removing/replacing components and peripherals, installing software, operating systems, and drivers.
  • Experience with Ansible, Windows 7, Windows 2008, Windows 10, VMware ESXi v5 or later, Windows 2012, LINUX, UNIX (including SUN, SGI, and PC variants), and Office 365.
  • Experience providing Microsoft SharePoint administrative and management functions.
  • Experience maintaining equipment operations through Preventative Maintenance Inspections (PMI) and repair schedules.
  • Must currently hold a Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.

Qualifications

  • Required: CompTIA Security+ certification.
  • Desired: FITSP-D, GCSA, GISF, SSCP certifications.

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time.
  • Must be able to twist, bend, and squat periodically.

Pay

Targeted salary range is $130,000 to $140,000 annually, based on qualifications and experience.
