About the Role

Join Booz Allen’s strategic team to work on a top-priority space program. You will collaborate with Booz Allen colleagues, other support contractors, and U.S. Space Force personnel to develop and deploy the next generation of strategic military satellite communications capabilities. As an integral part of the engineering branch, you will assist the government in ensuring space, ground, and user segments and external stakeholders are integrated successfully to meet user needs. Your expertise and innovative thinking will be critical to delivering capabilities that address evolving threats.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience performing systems engineering or integration in DoD satellite systems or ground systems
  • 5+ years of experience with space system and DoD program reviews, including SRR, SDR, SFR, PDR, CDR, MRR, TRR, FCA, and PCA
  • 2+ years of experience performing risk management on space, ground, software, or hardware systems
  • Experience with Major Defense Acquisition Programs
  • Experience with ground monitoring stations for GPS
  • Experience using a Model-Based Systems Engineering or digital engineering approach to manage system definitions and technical baselines
  • Ability to be highly motivated, display a dynamic work ethic, and contribute to the DoD mission
  • Ability to effectively communicate, work collaboratively on a cross-functional team and independently, and demonstrate initiative to complete complex tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with GPS, PNT, or NAVWAR
  • Experience with a software program utilizing Agile methodologies
  • Experience working with software factories or DevSecOps pipelines
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Computer Science
  • Agile Certification such as CSM, CPO, PMI-ACP, or ICP
  • INCOSE Systems Engineering Professional Certifications such as ASEP, CSEP, or ESEP

Clearance

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. A Secret clearance is required.

Pay

Salary is determined by various factors, including location, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $99,000.00 to $225,000.00 (annualized USD).

Schedule

This role may be remote, hybrid, or onsite:

  • Remote: Occasional in-person work at a Booz Allen or customer facility may be required.
  • Hybrid: Frequent work from a Booz Allen facility is expected, with potential visits to customer facilities as needed.
  • Onsite: Work will primarily be performed at a Booz Allen office or customer facility, with direct collaboration required.

Employees working virtually are generally expected to have their cameras on during meetings to support engagement and effective communication.
