Systems Integration and Test (I&T) Engineer

Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. U.S. citizenship is required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field, plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; or Master’s degree, plus 6 months of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

As a systems engineer, you’ll be a member of a cross-functional team responsible for executing a predetermined and highly complex schedule. Responsibilities include:

• Writing Python scripts and performing tasks such as setting up training classrooms overseas or troubleshooting legacy server racks at remote sites.
• Designing and developing early integration test plans and procedures to verify hardware and/or software for embedded systems.
• Developing strategies for lab test equipment based on test design, including drafting and releasing documents.
• Procuring parts, assembling test equipment, and integrating with the system under test (SUT).
• Applying IT fundamentals: networking, system administration, hardware setup, and troubleshooting.
• Learning and working with communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, USB, GPIOs, CAN bus, RS232, one-wire, and RS485.
• Reading electrical schematics and troubleshooting problems down to the component level.
• Troubleshooting equipment, test software, or product failures and implementing solutions.
• Extensive travel, including extended international deployments to remote locations with limited or no outside communication.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and identifying opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement.

Pay

Target salary range: USD $95,384.00/Yr. - USD $105,817.00/Yr.

This position is hybrid/flex as desired, based at the McLeansville, NC facility.
