Systems Integration and Test (I&T) Engineer

About the role
As an Integration and Test (I&T) Engineer for Land and Air Systems, you’ll be a member of a cross-functional team responsible for the early integration and formal test of aircraft subsystems. Within this position, you will use your troubleshooting and testing skills to integrate 3U module circuit cards into backplanes within aircraft chassis and perform formal testing based on customer requirements to verify compliance for aircraft subsystems.
Responsibilities
- Draft formal test procedures based on military standards (MIL-STD-810, 461, 464, 704, etc.).
- Execute formal hardware qualification to verify customer requirements, including Environmental, hardware bench testing, or Electromagnetic Interference (EMI).
- Support thermal and/or vibration surveys with other system matter experts.
- Design and develop early integration test plans and procedures to verify hardware and/or software for embedded systems.
- Develop strategies for lab test equipment based on test design.
- Design test equipment, draft and release documents.
- Procure parts, assemble test equipment, and integrate with the system under test (SUT).
- Troubleshoot equipment, test software, or product failures and implement solutions.
- Work with other disciplines and engineering groups such as hardware and software design engineers for test design and resolving technical problems.
- Commit to ongoing professional development for yourself and others.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering or a related Science, Engineering, or Mathematics field, plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master’s degree, plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
- Ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance at time of hire (U.S. citizenship required).
Skills
- Experience with communication protocols: I2C, Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI), USB, General-purpose Input/Output (GPIOs), Controller Area Network (CAN bus), Recommended Standard 232 (RS232), one-wire, Recommended Standard 485 (RS485).
- Experience with interface buses like I2C and SPI.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and troubleshoot problems down to the component level.
- Experience with thermal chambers and vibration tables and controls.
- Thorough knowledge of technology trends and willingness to champion new ideas and process improvements.

Pay
Target salary range: USD $130,617.00/Yr. – USD $137,760.00/Yr. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (e.g., geographic location). Actual pay may vary.
Schedule
This position is work on-site at the Bloomington, MN facility.
