About the role
BAE Systems is seeking Systems Engineering Leads to join a cross-functional, multi-disciplinary team designing, integrating, debugging, and testing next-generation Electronic Warfare (EW) systems. This role focuses on delivering innovative EW solutions through system development, requirements management, integration and test, and field deployment activities. The position requires onsite work in either Nashua, NH, or Manchester, NH, due to the need for consistent in-person collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Lead a medium or large team of Systems Engineers on EW-related programs.
- Manage all system engineering content and work products, including system planning, requirements development, and allocation to engineering disciplines.
- Create and review systems requirements for software, components, subsystems, and operational concepts.
- Develop system test plans, procedures, and reports.
- Lead product design, development, integration, and verification.
- Engage with customers, contractors, and government officials.
- Manage and participate in trade studies, peer reviews, and customer meetings.
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations internally and to customers.
- Monitor and report metrics such as System Technical Performance Measures.
- Support proposal development activities, including proposal text, cost and schedule estimating, and presentations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (or equivalent experience) with a minimum of:
- 6+ years of experience with a BS
- 4+ years of experience with an MS
- 2+ years of experience with a PhD
- Active U.S. Government Secret security clearance (with ability to obtain Top Secret).
- Experience with EW, Radar, and/or Missile Systems.
- EVMS certification with cost account management experience.
- Leadership skills and experience directing and mentoring engineers on complex programs.
- Expertise in documenting, communicating, and leading team-based design, results, and presentations.
- Experience performing systems engineering activities across the development cycle, including requirements analysis, system modeling, design, integration, and test.
Preferred Qualifications
- M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related discipline with 8+ years of experience, or a PhD with 6+ years of experience.
- Experience as a project/program team member responsible for dynamic workflows.
- Model-based systems engineering experience with tools such as MagicDraw.
- Familiarity or experience with Agile Systems Engineering.
- Active U.S. Top Secret security clearance, SCI eligible.
Pay
Full-time salary range: $132,962 – $226,035. Individual salaries are determined by factors including business considerations, local market conditions, internal equity, and candidate qualifications such as skills, education, and experience.
