Systems Engineer Specialist II- Contractor

We are seeking a contractor (6+ months) to join our IT team as an experienced Systems Engineer II.

Responsibilities

• Execute end-user onboarding and offboarding processes including account provisioning/de-provisioning, device setup, access management, and license assignment across all platforms
• Manage user lifecycle across AD, Azure AD, Google Workspace, Microsoft, and other enterprise tools ensuring timely access changes per HR triggers
• Track, manage, and update IT service requests using Jira — including ticket creation, assignment, status updates, sprint tracking, and closure within defined SLAs
• Perform backup of all systems and network devices
• Administer Active Directory services, Windows Utility servers, and maintain Active Directory environment focusing on GPO-driven policies, user/group management, and cross-domain functionality
• Create accounts, troubleshoot, configure Active Directory, and provide level 2 & 3 support for help desk
• Manage and troubleshoot Citrix server environment, including Citrix XenDesktop 7, hosted shared desktops, (non)persistent VDI machines
• Install, configure, troubleshoot, and support XenDesktop 7
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs), network switching concepts, LAN/WAN architecture, routing, and basic firewall concepts
• Hands-on experience with Meraki devices and environment
• Full proven knowledge of DFS, Terminal Servers, Hyper-V, Internet Information Server, and System Center Operations Manager (SCOM)
• Experience with Google Workspace and Azure Directory
• Outstanding troubleshooting skills for Windows platform
• Knowledge of DNS, DHCP, Certificate Authority, and RADIUS servers
