Systems Engineer - SME with Security Clearance

About the role

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in deploying, administering, and maintaining Linux systems along with deep knowledge of advanced networking concepts. You will be responsible for ensuring robust, secure network operations and developing innovative technical solutions to meet our business needs.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, administer, and maintain Linux systems
• Administer and troubleshoot network infrastructure
• Develop and implement network security strategies
• Design and implement scalable network solutions
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of IT solutions

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in Linux system administration and networking
• Experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP protocols and network topologies
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Perl
• Experience with DevOps tools and methodologies
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

• CISSP certification preferred
• Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V)
• Experience with network automation tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef)
