Systems Engineer- SME/Expert with Security Clearance

Responsibilities

• User account management
• Installation and configuration of servers and software
• Scripting
• Upgrade management
• Tier3 and Tier 4 O&M troubleshooting
• User and file data management/migrations
• Responsible for troubleshooting server network and system issues
• Identify complex problems, document, and clearly articulate options of resolution to the customer
• Engage in engineering solutions for physical and virtual environments
• Monitor existing infrastructure, identify and coordinate implementation changes to address problems or engineering changes with little to no impact to the end users
• Manage the customer's patch deployment infrastructure across multiple domains
• Train both customer and contractor personnel in the process of patch deployment
• Research and engineer a new system to manage the distribution of updates and hotfixes across domains
• Perform systems integration, verification, and validation
• Evaluate alternatives including risk, supportability, and analyses for total systems
• Translate customer requirements into hardware/software specifications

Qualifications

• Experience with Windows Server operating systems
• Knowledge of network administration and management
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
• Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell
• Understanding of cloud computing and virtualization technologies
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
